Continuous improvement
Vopak Chemical Terminals Benelux gives the highest priority to safety, quality and productivity. It is Vopak CTB’s main objective to avoid incidents and prevent damage to local surroundings and the environment, to manage and minimize risks related to the operating activities and to continuously improve business processes so that they remain safe and efficient.

Substantial investments in (new) infrastructure together with extensive training of its employees are aimed at meeting and exceeding market needs, at anticipating future requirements and at continuous improvement of service levels and operational efficiency. Vopak considers this continuous improvement fundamental to strengthen the relationship of Vopak CTB with its customers.

Mission
Vopak aims to be the most reliable, cost effective and efficient logistics service provider for bulk liquid products globally. To achieve this we must be able to provide efficient, high quality value adding services combined with the highest ethical, safety and environmental standards both locally and globally.

Strategy
VCTNL aims to be the preferred partner. One of the ways to reach this is to create safe, environmental friendly working conditions. Therefor a safetyplan, called "Safety starts with yourself" has been developed. The ultimate goal is an incident-free  (0 LTI's and 0 spills) operating of our terminals in 2012.

The focus is on infrastructure (design and maintenance), awareness and efficiency.

• We are committed to continuous improvement in our processes to manage safety, health and environmental performance.
• We will contribute to the continuity of our company by the systematic control, prevention and elimination of hazards. We will continuously work towards our goals of zero incidents and no damage to the environment.
• We will strictly adhere to safety, health and environmental governing regulations as a minimum.
• Line Managements’ responsibility is to demonstrate visible commitment, enforcement and provision of appropriate resources to implement Vopak’s SHE policy.
• Safety is everyone’s responsibility and we expect every employee to contribute to the prevention of accidents by reporting, analyzing and controlling Safety, Health and Environmental hazards. This will be supported by efficient and effective training programs and the development of annual SHE improvement plans.
